AI receptionist · demo preview

Answers the calls that ring after 5pm.

The website publishes office hours of Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, weekends closed, with a separate after-hours service number. This page shows what an assistant would do with the calls that arrive outside those hours, or while the crew is already on a site: answer, take the details, and send you the summary. It was put together as a preview for Lightning Electric Inc. in West Palm Beach, FL.

Only the business name, city, trade, phone number, address and the hours shown on the company's own site come from public information. The call shown below is a written simulation; the assistant at the bottom right is a working demo that runs in your browser.

What this would do for you

  • Picks up when you can't. Nights, weekends, busy stretches and the twenty minutes you're elbow-deep in a job — the call is answered instead of ringing out.
  • Takes the job details. What's wrong and where in the property, how urgent it sounds, the best number to call back, and when the caller wants someone there.
  • Sends you a summary. One short message with everything above, so you call back already knowing the job instead of starting from scratch.

What it doesn't do

  • It doesn't quote prices or promise an arrival time. That stays your call.
  • It doesn't replace how you take calls today — your phone, your voicemail, or the online booking widget that's already on your site. It sits alongside them and catches what they miss.
  • It doesn't pretend to be a person. It says up front that it's automated.

Missed call → booked job

The call nobody could take, start to finish. Below the transcript is the summary that would land on the owner's phone.

  1. AI receptionist

You've reached the after-hours assistant for Lightning Electric Inc. I'm an automated assistant — the office is closed right now, but I can take the details and pass them on. What's going on?

  2. Caller

Half the house has no power. The kitchen and the back bedrooms are dead.

  3. AI receptionist

Thanks — a partial outage rather than the whole house. Did anything trip in the electrical panel, and is anything near it hot or smelling burnt?

  4. Caller

One breaker was flipped. I reset it and it tripped straight back off.

  5. AI receptionist

Then leave that breaker off. A breaker that trips again the moment you reset it is telling you something, and repeatedly resetting it isn't safe. Is anyone there relying on power for a medical device or heating?

  6. Caller

No, we're fine. Tomorrow morning would work.

  7. AI receptionist

Understood. I can't commit to a time — that's the office's call, and I won't promise a slot they can't keep. I'll pass it on as a morning request and mark it urgent because the breaker won't hold. What's the best number to reach you on?

  8. Caller

    (561) 555-0168.

  9. AI receptionist

Thanks. That's: partial power loss, breaker trips again when reset, breaker left off, no medical need, urgent, morning visit requested, best number (561) 555-0168. I'll send this summary through now.

This is a written simulation of one possible call, written to show how the assistant would handle it. It is not a record of a real call, and no real caller, number or job is shown. We have not seen this business's calls or call records.

Try the assistant yourself

The button in the bottom-right corner opens a real, working demo assistant — the same kind of thing the call above would run on. Ask it about jobs, hours, where the company works or how to get a callback. It's a small scripted demo, so it answers a fixed set of questions and says so when it doesn't know something.

  • Nothing is sent to Lightning Electric Inc. from this page — the demo runs entirely in your browser, with no phone number, email or account involved.
  • It won't confirm a booking or invent prices, hours or availability.
  • It opens with a few example questions, and you can type anything.

Questions the demo answers

  • What kind of jobs do you take?
  • What are your hours?
  • Where are you based?
  • Can you call me back?
  • How much do you charge?

Demo, not dispatch

Why we built this for you

Two things we saw on the public site at lightningelectricinc.com on 13 October 2026, written plainly — no pitch, no guessing.

  • The published hours are weekdays only

The location block reads Mon–Fri 8:00 am–5:00 pm, with Saturday and Sunday closed, and a separate after-hours service number alongside. A visitor reading that on a Saturday evening is looking at a phone number and nothing else.

  • The main action on the page is a call-back form

Name, phone, email and the kind of electrical work — then wait for someone to ring back. We saw no online booking and no chat assistant on the site, so the form and the phone are the only two ways in.

Those are observations, not complaints: a weekday office, a location page and a call-back form cover most of the week, and the site loads over a secure connection with a current copyright line. The gap we're pointing at is the rest of the week and the middle of a job — a caller who rings while the crew is on a site, or a visitor at 7pm on a Saturday, has nothing to click but 'call back later' and no way to say what's wrong. We haven't inspected your website traffic, your phone traffic or anything behind those public pages.

How it would be set up

None of this is switched on for you. It's a preview — the assistant you just tried exists on this page and nowhere else.

  1. 1

    Point it at your line

Your number stays exactly as it is. The assistant answers what you can't, and hands anything it isn't sure about to you.

  2. 2

    Give it the facts

Your service area, the jobs you take and the questions you're tired of answering on the phone. Everything else it leaves to you.

  3. 3

    Get the summary

Every captured call arrives as a short message with the problem, the urgency and the call-back number — before the caller's off the line.
